On this page
This statement applies to the public website at yrse.org.uk. It explains the standard we are working towards, our current assessment position and how to ask for help.
Section 01
Our commitment
YRSE is committed to improving access to its information and services for people with disabilities. Accessibility is considered in the website's content, structure, interaction design and ongoing development.
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA.
Section 02
Using this website
The website has been designed to support people who need to:
- navigate using a keyboard rather than a mouse;
- zoom or enlarge text without losing essential information;
- use headings, landmarks and descriptive links with assistive technology;
- understand informative images through text alternatives;
- identify keyboard focus clearly; and
- reduce non-essential motion through their device preferences.
How a website appears can also be changed through browser or device accessibility settings.
Section 03
Conformance status
WCAG defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
This website has not yet completed a formal evaluation against every WCAG 2.2 level AA success criterion. YRSE therefore does not currently claim full conformance. An internal review of the principal pages and interactions has been completed, and WCAG 2.2 level AA remains our target.
Section 04
Known limitations and alternatives
The Contact page contains a form supplied by Zoho. Because this form is delivered by a third party, some aspects of its accessibility are outside YRSE's direct control.
If the form is difficult to use, you can contact YRSE directly by email at admin@yrse.org or by telephone on 07842 842984.
External websites and documents linked from YRSE pages are managed by their respective publishers. Contact us if you need help locating the equivalent information in another format.
Section 05
Feedback and contact
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, need information in another format or want to suggest an improvement, please tell us which page or item you were trying to use and what went wrong.

How this statement was prepared
This statement was prepared on 3 September 2026 following an internal review of the website's responsive layouts, keyboard navigation, heading structure, link wording, image alternatives, visible focus styles and reduced-motion support.
The website has not yet been independently audited or formally assessed for WCAG conformance. This statement will be updated when that assessment position changes or when a significant accessibility issue is identified.
