Reach and completion
Shows how many schools, classes and students took part, and how delivery progressed across the core programme.
DriverReady’s road safety education for ages 14 to 17 includes evaluation throughout delivery. Participation, quizzes and pre- and post-programme surveys show who the programme reached, what students remembered and how attitudes and behavioural intentions changed.

What evaluation reveals
DriverReady combines programme activity with responses gathered through quizzes and surveys across the core programme. Together, these measures show reach, recall and changes in reported attitudes and behavioural intentions.
Shows how many schools, classes and students took part, and how delivery progressed across the core programme.
Each module ends with a seven-question quiz. The quizzes reinforce the lesson and show whether key learning points are being remembered and recalled.
Pre- and post-programme surveys compare responses before and after DriverReady, including how students view road safety and what they say they intend to do as passengers or future drivers.
Reporting for partners
For councils, road safety partnerships, businesses, government organisations and other partners, anonymised, group-level reporting can show the reach and educational outcomes their support made possible.
Reports can bring together programme completion, learning recall, aggregated changes in survey responses, optional-module uptake and overall feedback themes. Where appropriate, results can also be compared across agreed groups or local areas.
Learning from delivery
Student responses and teacher feedback show which learning students retain, which strategies they find useful and where an explanation can be made even clearer.
We use these findings in DriverReady’s annual review to refine explanations, activities, examples and teacher support. Evaluation feeds directly into programme development, helping us better prepare young people for the situations they will face on the road.
